EU approves easier cross-border online broadcasts

Thursday 13 December 2018 | 15:22 CET | News
The European Parliament, Council and Commission have reached a preliminary agreement on copyright reforms designed to make it easier for broadcasters to offer their content online across the EU. The agreement includes mechanisms to facilitate the clearance of copyright and related rights of radio and TV content for cross-border digital broadcast and retransmissions. It covers only news and information programmes or content fully produced and owned by the broadcaster.
