EU asks US for more information about Yahoo court order

After asking Yahoo more details about its data breach, the European Commission is now asking the US to bring out more information about a secret court order Yahoo used to scan customer emails for possible terrorism links, following concerns that may have violated a new data transfer pact, Reuters reported, citing sources close to the matter. "The Commission services have contacted the US authorities to ask for a number of clarifications," Commission spokesman Christian Wigand said.
