EU business groups call for competition authorities to take on tech heavyweights

Beltug, Belgium's association of CIOs and ICT managers, has drafted a joint letter to the European Commission's competition department with sister associations Cigref (France), CIO Platform (Netherlands) and Voice (Germany), asking for more attention to the competitive behaviour of heavyweight tech companies such as SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Salesforce. The associations want the EU to "address the negative sides of the dominance of a limited group of suppliers" of corporate software applications.
