EU clears CityFibre takeover by Antin consortium

Tuesday 12 June 2018 | 13:59 CET | News
The European Commission has unconditionally cleared the acquisition of UK wholesale operator CityFibre by Connect Infrastructure Bidco, a 50:50 consortium consortium consisting of Antin Infrastructure and WSIP. The deal was agreed in April, with CityFibre accepting an acquisition that values the company at around GBP 537.8 million, or GBP 0.81 per share in cash, a premium of almost 93 percent from the closing price of GBP 0.42 per share on 23 April, the last day before the bid announcement.
