EU Council agrees to adopt new cybersecurity strategy

The EU Council said it has officially adopted the bloc's new cybersecurity strategy first presented by the Commission last December. The strategy outlines the framework to protect EU citizens and businesses from cyber threats, promote secure information systems and ensure a "global, open, free and secure" cyberspace, said the Council in a short statement.
