EU Court of Auditors warns Germany at risk of missing broadband targets over vectoring

The European Court of Auditors has criticised Germany for its use of vectoring in upgrading broadband networks around the country, warning that Germany will not be able to keep pace with its EU neighbours as a result of the technology, reported Heise Online. In a new report issued in Brussels, the Court of Auditors said the EU's goal of providing comprehensive broadband speeds of up to 1 Gbps by 2025 is "probably not to be realised" in Germany, given the technology it uses at present.
