EU grants EUR 20 mln to build AI open platform under AI4EU project

A new EU project will officially get under way on 10 January with the aim to build a collaborative platform for artificial intelligence (AI) resources, funded by a EUR 20 million Horizon 2020 grant. Called AI4EU, the project brings together 79 partners in 21 countries (60 research institutes and 19 enterprises/SMEs), led by the French company Thales. Its main goal is to develop an open platform that will help bring AI to both private businesses and public sector agencies across Europe.
