EU Parliament calls for 'right to repair' for consumer devices

The EU Parliament adopted a resolution on a more sustainable single market with 395 votes in favour of a "right to repair", 94 votes against and 207 abstentions. The Parliament aims to boost sustainability by promoting reuse and repairs and by tackling practices that shorten the lifespan of products.
