The European Union is preparing to send Google a formal antitrust complaint over its Android operating system, according to three unnamed sources cited by Bloomberg. The company's rivals have been asked to remove business secrets from redacted documents so they can be shown to Google, which is often a precursor to the filing of a statement of objections, said the sources. The EU followed the same process last year before charging Google with skewing results to favour its comparison-shopping services.
