EU questions Google on new privacy policy
French data protection agency CNIL has sent a questionnaire to Google about its new privacy policy in cooperation with the Article 29 Working Party, which comprises all of the EU's national data protection bodies. Its 69 questions are intended to clarify the implications of the new rules for Google service users, be they Google account holders, unidentified users of Google Services, or passive users of Google services on other sites (advertising, audience measurements, etc.) Google's answers will allow CNIL to determine whether the combining of data between services complies with European law. CNIL, which regrets that Google did not delay the application of its new policy which took effect on 1 March, has asked Google to reply by 5 April.
