EU releases EUR 15 mln for phase 1 of Horizon 2020

The EU is releasing EUR 15 million towards the first round of applications for its seven year Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The money is aimed at transforming entrepreneurial culture, providing students with the confidence, knowhow and support to set up their own businesses and to help promising web startups launch in Europe and go global. Of the EUR 15 million, EUR 5 million will be available to help develop and promote ICT entrepreneurship, in particular to high school and university students. The call for funding is particularly targeted at accelerators, incubators, hubs
