EU set to fine Google over Android antitrust breaches by mid-July - report

Friday 8 June 2018 | 09:56 CET | News
Google is set to receive its second EU antitrust fine for breaching antitrust rules with its Android mobile operating system by mid-July, according to unnamed sources cited by Reuters. The European Commission, which has been investigating Android's dominance since 2015, could issue its decision in the week of 09 July, said the report, adding that the penalty is likely to top the previous EUR 2.4 billion fine imposed on Google last year over its shopping service.
