EU starts work on setting single call termination rate

Wednesday 31 October 2018 | 14:00 CET | News
The European Commission has started work on developing a new cost model for setting wholesale termination rates on fixed and mobile networks across the EU. Part of the new Electronic Communications Code, the process of developing the new model is expected to be completed by September 2019 and formally approved by the end of 2020. The aim is to develop a single maximum rate applied cross the EU, something regulators have struggled to achieve under the current regulations.
