EU still far from agreement on net neutrality - report

EU member states and the European Parliament appear unable to reach an agreement on proposed net neutrality regulations, two months since they started negotiations on a final text of the legislation. The Latvian presidency of the EU aims to reach an agreement before its term ends at the end of June. However, a proposal from the EU Council sent to Parliament 22 May and obtained by Euractiv shows that member states are not willing to give in to MEPs on banning so-called "special services" that derogate from a strict interpretation of net neutrality. The Latvian Presidency's newest compromise
