EU to consider preventative regulation of digital service platforms - report

The European Commission is considering taking preventative action in certain digital service markets, in order to curb the power of dominant players, according to a document seen by Reuters. EU antitrust regulators plan to open an inquiry into the tech industry to look at whether enforcement action or further regulation is needed, the report said.
