EU to start formal probe into Facebook's online marketplace - report

The European Commission is expected to start a formal probe into whether Facebook's online marketplace to unfair to competitors in the online classified ad sector, by promoting its Marketplace services for free to its 2 billion users, the Financial Times reported. The EU started looking into the matter in 2019 and should soon start a more formation investigation.
