Europe making limited progress on copper network shutdown - study

The FTTH Council Europe has released a study by WIK on the progress switching from copper to fibre fixed networks in Europe. The study of ten countries found that Estonia and Sweden are clear leaders in the migration away from copper, while Spain and Portugal are also making progress. The report analyses the benefits as well as enablers, incentives, challenges and barriers to switching from copper to fibre networks.
