European navigation system Galileo gains mobile device maker support in first year

Friday 8 December 2017 | 11:02 CET | News
European satellite navigation system Galileo, which will make Europe independent from the US system GPS, has been in operation for one year, reported Der Standard. Despite some technical problems with the atomic clock in summer, one year after the launch of the first services, the operators are satisfied with the fact that manufacturers worldwide have made the decision to invest in Galileo. Samsung, Apple and Huawei have equipped their top models with Galileo, said Carlo des Dorides, Director of the supervisory authority GSA.
