European Parliament committee approves cybersecurity certification scheme

Tuesday 10 July 2018 | 16:19 CET | News
A key committee of the European Parliament has approved the draft Cybersecurity Act. The legislation first proposed by the European Commission last September will introduce a new security certification system for connected devices, as well as strengthen the EU's networks security agency Enisa. If the text is approved by the full Parliament in September, negotiations will start with the Council and Commission on the final text of the law.
