European Space Agency gives go-ahead to Ariane 6 programme

The European Space Agency (ESA) has given its final approval to Ariane 6, the latest launch vehicle in the Ariane rocket family. Initially conceived at the end of 2014, the costs of the Ariane 6 programme is estimated at around EUR 4 billion, including EUR 600 million to build a new launch complex at Europe's Guiana Space Centre, near Kourou.
