Europol announced law enforcement and judicial authorities worldwide gained control of the Emotet botnet infrastructure and took it down from the inside. Europol said this is one of the most significant botnets of the past decade. This operation was carried out in the framework of the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT).
