Everything Everywhere likely to keep T-Mobile brand

Everything Everywhere is in the early stages of combining France Telecom's Orange UK and Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile UK and will likely keep the T-Mobile brand alive, chief executive Tom Alexander told the Financial Times. The four-year project could release cost savings totalling GBP 3.5 billion (USD 5.4 billion) by putting the Orange and T-Mobile networks into one infrastructure. By 2014, Everything Everywhere is seeking to have a 3G mobile network that covers 99.6 percent of the population. That compares with Orange's existing 3G coverage of 93 percent, and T-Mobile's 96 percent. Some
