EWE expands fibre roll-out in Lower Saxony

German regional utilities provider EWE announced it will roll out fibre-optic internet in the towns of Gnarrenburg, Brillit and Karlshoefen in the state of Lower Saxony over the next two years as part of its EUR 1.2 billion investment plan in broadband in northwestern Germany. Over 1,900 households and businesses in the region will benefit from fast connections of up to 1 Gbps as a result of these upgrades. Households who register in advance for a broadband connection with EWE will save EUR 399 in installation costs.
