Ewe Tel invites 3G users to upgrade to LTE ahead of network shutdown

German regional network operator Ewe Tel is inviting customers in rural areas still using 3G UMTS for mobile data to upgrade to LTE. The move comes as the 3G network is shut down and masts converted to support LTE and future 5G services.
