F2i unwilling to sell Metroweb stake - report

Italian infrastructure fund F2i is unwilling to sell its entire controlling stake in broadband provider Metroweb to Telecom Italia or Vodafone, according to unnamed sources cited by La Repubblica. F2i owns a 53.8 percent stake in Metroweb's holding company Metroweb Italia and in recent weeks its CEO Renato Ravanelli has held a series of meetings with Telecom Italia and Vodafone, both of which have expressed an interest in bidding for control of Milan-based Metroweb.
