Facebook asks court to dismiss FTC, states' competition cases

Facebook said it has filed motions to dismiss the antitrust lawsuits brought by the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general against the company. The cases filed last December seek to force Facebook to sell WhatsApp or Instagram and revise its terms for developers, in an attempt to break its alleged monopoly strangle-hold on the social networking market.
