Facebook asks US banks to share customer data - report

Facebook has asked large US banks to share detailed financial information about their customers, including card transactions and account balances, as part of an effort to offer new services to users, the Wall Street Journal reports. People familiar with the matter said the social network is looking at offering services to bank customers over Facebook Messenger.
