Facebook CEO donates USD 20 mln for school broadband

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a post that he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are donating USD 20 million to continue their support of the Education Super Highway organisation, which works to bring faster internet access in US public schools. Although most schools are connected, fewer than half have broadband internet access. Zuckerberg writes that this prevents most students from benefiting from personalised learning software and that teachers cannot access many of the resources available online.
