Facebook earnings fall on FTC, tax charges; revenues grow 28%

Facebook reported second-quarter net earnings down 49 percent to USD 2.616 billion or 91 cents a share. The results were hurt by another USD 2 billion in provisions for the company's settlement with the FTC and an extra USD 1.1 billion charge for tax.
