Facebook hits 4 bln daily video views, 75% on mobiles

Facebook passed the milestone of over 4 billion daily video views, compared to 1 billion in November 2014, CEO Mark Zuckerberg told analysts in a conference call after the latest quarterly announcement. COO Sheryl Sandberg added that more than 75 percent of global views on Facebook are happening on mobile devices, the Guardian writes. "We believe mobile video will become more important to marketers over time," she said, citing a campaign by movie studio Lionsgate for the Age of Adaline film that targeted young women on Instagram with video ads, then targeted them again on Facebook.
