Facebook launches smart TV app

Facebook announced a new app for TVs, so users of the social network can watch videos also on a smart TV. The Facebook video app for TV will roll out soon to app stores for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Samsung Smart TV, with more platforms to come, the company said. The app offers a selection of videos shared by friends or from pages the user follows, as well as recommendations and top-watched videos from around the world. Users can also save videos for watching later.
