Facebook Messenger passes 800 mln monthly users

Facebook announced that it's reached over 800 million users worldwide for its Messenger service each month. In a blog posting, David Marcus, VP of Messaging Products at the company, outlined the new features introduced at Messenger in the past year and plans for the future. After expanding Messenger to target business users and non-Facebook users, the company plans to focus more on business interaction this year. Early tests in 2015 with brands found Messenger users interacting in their threads with businesses and service providers, and Facebook said it plans to make this even easier in
