Facebook plans 'click to message' option for advertisers

Facebook is working on a new form of advertising to help monetise its Facebook Messenger service, reports Business Insider. At the TechCrunch Disrupt conference, Facebook manager Andrew Bosworth outlined the plans for "Click to Message" ads. This would allow businesses to place a 'Message' button under their ads. If the users clicks the button to send a message to the advertiser, Facebook charges a fee per click. The new feature is part of Facebook's service for businesses Pages, which was recently made more interactive with "Call to Action" options to encourage customers to make appointments
