Facebook privacy concerns reflect global e-commerce task - UN

The Cambridge Analytica scandal over improper use of Facebook data "vividly illustrates that most countries are ill-prepared for the digital economy," according to the United Nations trade and development agency (UNCTAD) Secretary-General Mukhisa Kituyi. The agency will be holding an E-Commerce Week in Geneva from 16-20 April under the title 'Development Dimensions of Digital Platforms', focusing above all on the role of evolving technologies to strengthen sustainable development.
