Facebook refers Trump suspension to Oversight Board

Facebook said it has referred its decision to indefinitely suspend former US President Donald Trump's access to his Facebook and Instagram accounts to its Oversight Board. The board is made up of global experts separate from Facebook, with a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. It can make independent and binding decisions on user appeals over content taken down by Facebook or Instagram. The decisions cannot be overruled by CEO Mark Zuckerberg or anyone else at Facebook.
