Facebook renews focus on brain-controlled computing with acquisition of CTRL-labs

Facebook has announced the acquisition of CTRL-labs, a company specialised in having brain impulses directly control devices and computers. CTRL-labs has been working on a wristband that will let people manage their devices as a natural extension of movement, decoding electrical signals sent by the brain to the hand muscles and translating them into a digital signal devices can understand. People could in this way share a photo with a friend, for example, using an imperceptible movement or just by intending to.
