Facebook starts project to strengthen ties with news media

Facebook has announced the launch of a new initiative designed to establish stronger ties with the news industry in the digital age. The aim is to develop new products and evolve existing storytelling formats such as Live, 360 and Instant Articles to help people be more informed. As an early test of the new project, Facebook is going to start offering readers multiple instant articles as a package from their favourite news organisations. It will also work with third parties to promote a better understanding of "news literacy" both on and off its platform to help users make decisions about
