Facebook takes more steps to better manage content, with fact-checking help from Associated Press

Facebook said it has taken new steps to better manage its content, and will fact check with the Associated Press. All of the changes are now in effect, worldwide. The company has had a "remove, reduce and inform" strategy in place since 2016. This means it removes content that violates its policies, looks to reduce the spread of problematic content that does not violate policies but is of dubious nature, and informs people about content so that they can choose what to click, read or share. The company has now expanded this strategy.
