Facebook targets fake news in Germany

Facebook will update its German social media platform "within weeks" to reduce the spread of fake news. On 15 January, Facebook declared that its previously announced measures to combat the dissemination of fake news stories would be rolled out in Germany in the coming weeks, according to a report in Reuters. The updates will allow users to report suspected fake news items more easily.
