Facebook to fund European news shows for Watch platform

Facebook has announced contracts to funds a series of news shows for its Watch platform in Germany, France and Sweden. The deals with news outlets such as Germany's Axel Springer, France's Le Monde and Sweden's Expressen will feature local news personalities and interactive tools like live panels. In Germany, the 8 new shows include Axel Springer's 'Bild Daily' general-interest show, Burda's 'Life Hacks' interactive show with Facebook audiences seeking advice from a panel of experts, plus specialist science, sport and food shows from Gruner + Jahr.
