Facebook to launch WhatsApp payment service across India next week - report

Facebook will launch its WhatsApp payment services in India next week. WhatsApp will partner HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank to process the transfers, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter. State Bank of India will join the platform once it has the necessary systems in place, the people also said.
