Facebook to pay CAD 9 mln fine for misleading users over personal data practices

Facebook has agreed to pay a fine of CAD 9 million in Canada after a competition investigation found the company did not disclose properly how it was using personal information from its social network and Messenger. Facebook will also pay an additional CAD 500,000 for the costs of the Bureau's investigation.
