Facebook to sign agreement with Tigo Colombia

Facebook will sign an agreement with Colombian telecoms operator Tigo to launch its internet.org initiative in the local market, Telesemana reports. The social network may also sign additional agreements with other telcos in Colombia, according to the report. Facebook had established the internet.org initiative with the main goal of connecting billions of people in regions that have no internet access yet. Through this initiative, Facebook is partnering with telecommunications operators in different countries to offer internet access at a more affordable price.
