Facebook to test live video sharing

Facebook has started testing a service to share live video over the social network. It will start with a small number of users with iPhones in the US. To share live video, a user taps Update Status and then selects the Live Video icon. A short description can be added before choosing the audience and sending the link to the video feed. During the broadcast, the number of live viewers, the names of contacts tuning in, and a real-time stream of comments is available.
