Facebook's Messenger app for kids criticised by child advocate groups

Facebook received demands from over 100 child advocates, civil society groups, medical experts and other individuals to terminate its Messenger app for kids, writes Washingtonpost.com. Critics believe that the software poses health and development risks to children. Nineteen groups, including Common Sense Media and Public Citizen, signed a letter to Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg that was sent on 30 January.
