Fair Roaming coalition calls far deeper data price cuts

The 'Europeans for Fair Roaming' coalition has called on members of the European Parliament to cut mobile data roaming charges further than the rates proposed by the European Commission. MEPs are currently working a compromise with the EC to present to the full parliament for a vote. While an initial parliamentary report suggested deeper cuts than the EC proposal, the 'Fair Roaming' coalition said this was not enough and rates need to move more quickly to domestic levels. The coalition said it supports the EC's structural reforms aimed at increasing competition among roaming service
