Family Bank partners with SimbaPay to enable payments to China

Thursday 29 November 2018 | 09:20 CET | News
Kenya's Family Bank has partnered with London-based financial technology firm SimbaPay to launch an instant money transfer service from Kenya to China through WeChat. Using QR codes, SimbaPay has developed a third party payment aggregator that enables funds delivery to WeChat's billion-plus user network. Individuals and businesses can now send funds to China through Family Bank's PesaPap app, Safaricom's M-Pesa or by texting USSD using the code star 325 hash.
