Fastweb CEO praises FiberCop model, acknowledges govt intervention

The chief executive of Italy's Fastweb, Alberto Calcagno, said that co-investment in network infrastructure is a winning model in the current environment, as the operator can share the burden of roll-out costs while focusing on gaining customers in a level playing field. This is why the new network venture FiberCop offers good guarantees, he told daily paper Corriere, explaining that the project would free up resources to win new subscribers on quality of service.
