Fastweb H1 sales and earnings up as client base rises 5%

Thursday 18 August 2016 | 10:13 CET | News
Italian broadband operator Fastweb reported revenue over the first half of 2016 of EUR 881 million, up 2 percent from EUR 862 million a year earlier, thanks largely to its investments in ultra-broadband. Customer numbers rose by 5 percent from a year earlier to reach 2.26 million at the end of June. The company said investment rose 2.5 percent from a year earlier to EUR 268 million, equivalent to 32 percent of revenue, a level Fastweb claims is unprecedented in the European telecoms sector.
