Thursday 14 April 2016 | 11:41 CET | News
Italian operator Fastweb has announced plans to invest around EUR 2 million to bring fibre-optic broadband at speeds of up to 200 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload to the city of Viterbo in the central Lazio region. The service is currently available in 60 percent of the city and will be extended to 18,000 households and around 3,000 local companies by the end of the year, said Fastweb, which is rolling out 40 km of fibre-optic cable to connect 110 street cabinets.
